THE PROJECT IN SHORT

With the project Rauw (‘Raw’) I want to visualise my inner world, having experienced multiple cases of sexual violence. Creating my own little demon using the vast and grim landscape of Iceland as a backdrop. I share the eerie feeling surrounding the topic of abuse and assault that a lot of women face on a daily basis. Making this the story of many; as this suffering is inflicted on not only the victim, but also their loved ones. Like a stone being thrown in water, creating ripples breaking the surface.

For this project I partnered with creating a photoseries and short documentary ‘Oneindige Leegte’ (Endless void). The latter being featured at the NFF and becoming the first winner of the Nikonfilmfestival Benelux Edition.
